postheadericon ABOUT THE CLUB

Based at Big Bay Lifesaving Centre, the Multi-Sport Maniac club is affiliated to the Western Province Triathlon Association (WPTA) as well as to Western Province Athletics. While most of our members tend to reside and train in the Northern Suburbs and the Tableview area,  we do have maniacs in the Southern Suburbs, Stellenbosch, Paarl and all the way out in Worcester as well as Fish Hoek.

Our MEMBERSHIP structure is flexible and affordable to customise to your own needs as a multi-sport athlete. A basic membership can be "pimped" to include additional items such as your running licence, personal access to the lifesaving facilities and kit.

Our members range from juniors who are just starting out (and some that have many gold medals hanging in their rooms) to senior athletes involved in sprint, Olympic distance and Ironman distance triathlons.

The focus of the club is to ensure that members are kept up to date with information of what is going on in the province with regard to multi-sport; to meet the requirements of the associations we are affiliated to; to host events; to organise training sessions and to promote the concept of multi-sport.

Our members generally participate in triathlon, duathlon and biathle - but obviously also participate and compete in running and cycling races.
